| Sports - Special-Edition Pink Footballs to be used by the Louisiana Swashbucklers in June 12 Game |

In an effort with Calcasieu Parish McDonald’s in the fight against breast cancer, the Lousisiana Swashbucklers will play their regular-season game on June 12 with special-edition pink footballs saluting the Ethel Precht Hope Breast Cancer 3K.
Fans can purchase the special-edition pink leather footballs for a donation of $50 at the Treasure Chest during Swashbucklers home games and at the team office in the Civic Center outside of game times. The footballs are also available on the Ethel Precht Hope Breast Cancer 3K Web site at www.ethelbreastcancerwalk.org. All proceeds from the sales of the footballs will benefit the Ethel Precht Hope Breast Cancer 3K. The pink footballs are sponsored by Calcasieu Parish McDonald’s.
The Swashbucklers’ June 12 game against the Houston Lightning will honor breast cancer surviviors. Fans will have the chance to catch some of the special-edition pink footballs from the stands.
Since 2004, the Ethel Precht Hope Breast Cancer 3K has rasied funds for local breast cancer survivors in Calcasieu and Cameron parishes through an annual walk in October. Founded by local breast cancer survivor Ethel Precht, the nonprofit organization has been able to assist over 250 local survivors with monetary gifts.
Precht says “We are very grateful to McDonald’s and the Swashbucklers for all of their help. I have always loved sports and never dreamed our cause would be recognized on a professional football. I’m thrilled!”
